Over the past year that Mystic Liquid has be open to the Northeast Pennsylvania, we have come to realize that there are two types of business owners out there. There are the ones that have lots of money for marketing their business and then there are those that are running on fumes. Most of the small business owners that we talk with are the latter. That is not to say that is good or bad, but in these troubling economic times it is what it is in the business world. What I mean by that is with traditional offline marketing efforts you might reach a regional audience or if you have the money then you can go with TV advertising and reach a bigger audience. Online marketing can reach around the world. You incorporate that reach with proper shipping lines and you have yourself the makings of a very profitable business. Granted it is not that easy, but that is the theory around online marketing for a small business. Then again if you are just looking to stay local or if you are an establishment of sorts then maybe global is not your goal. That’s ok, the internet can still bring the right customers to your doorstep through local search. There is just more flexibility with small business online marketing.

The main difference between offline and online marketing is the ease at which you can attract qualified clients to your business. Before it was a shot in the dark with census reports and such that the radio sales people use to get your small business advertising dollar. The Internet helps a small business owner have any size budget and gain qualified clients with little effort.
